DESCRIPTION: Foliose. A smallish grey lichen with lobes that have long marginal cilia, are dotted with black pycnidia and whose ends are turned up and have terminal soralia on the undersides. Apothecia on short stalks are frequent and are blackish with green-grey edges. DISTRIBUTION: Becoming more common throughout especially in urban areas. HABITAT: On twigs and branches of broadleaved trees as well as walls and rocks.
